You got my point exactly! Believers always claim that believing in God is a built in instinct.

I think having an external entity - that we create - to push us, guide us or energize us is what's instinctive.

We - humans - created gods, created prophets, and created religious clergy. Most of us go looking for them exactly the same way they look for life coaches and motivational speakers.
